INK-redible Hostess Promotion

INK-redible Hostess Promotion

Dates: November  1 - December 16, 2012 Promotion Details: Hostesses who hold a minimum $450 party during the promotion period will receive a FREE collection of Classic Stampin Pads--they can choose from Brights, Subtles, or Regals--a $49.95 value!  Plus, the free ink is in addition to the regular hostess benefits--INK-redible!
The Fine Print
  • Customer, demonstrator, workshop, and online orders from your Online Store qualify for this promotion.
    • While in the past, online orders have not counted toward hostess promotions, we're excited to unveil a trial program that will allow your online customers to take advantage of our current hostess promotion with a qualifying order.
    • While we want to encourage rewarding hostesses who host parties, we will be testing this option as away to reward customers who purchase from your Online Store.
    • Customers will be prompted to select their qualifying ink collection with a $450 order. They will be required to use one of the following item numbers in order to select their free ink collection.
      • 132652 Brights Classic Stampin' Pads
      • 132653 Subtles Classic Stampin' Pads
      • 132654 Regals Classic Stampin' Pads
    • Note: This only applies to orders placed through a DBWS subscriber's Online Store.
  • To get free ink, the order total must be at least $450 before tax and shipping.
  • This special offer isn't incremental. That means if you place a $900 order, we'll be excited for sure--but you won't get two free ink collections. But really, isn't one free collection of ink incentive enough? (But your customers can get two free ink collections when they participate in both of our INK-redible promotions; see the INK-redible New Demonstrator Promotion page for details.)
  • Hostesses can still use their additional hostess dollars to get free products from the current annual and seasonal catalogs.

Halloween Treats

Halloween is just a couple of weeks away!  Are you ready?   These are projects we made in my monthly club for September.  They would make great little goodies for little Trick-or-Treaters, class goodie bags. . .

The bat card on the left, I CASED from fellow demonstrator, Ronda Wade.  Isn't it cute?!  The bat was made from the Owl and 2 circle punches.  I ran the basic gray card stock through my BigShot using the spider web embossing folder.  I had received the new Illuminate pigment ink pad just days before my class and I got to thinking, what if we dabbed that on the raised web?  It gives it just a little bit of shimmer like dew and really made the card "pop."

The little bag was made using the Ghoulish Googlies Bundle.  I have fallen in love with all the bundles that Stampin' Up! has offered in the Holiday catalog.  The Ghoulish Googlies Designer Kit has enough supplies to make 10 of these little bags, perfect for a class, kids Halloween party, or buy 2-3 and you have enough to make 1 for each child in a class.  The googlie eyes are great since they already come with adhesive on the back!

The 3rd item we made was the little 1x8" cello bag M&M treats.  New products used on this were the Mixed Medley Hostess set and 1-1/4" scallop circle punch.  I love punches and anything that matches them!

I hope you liked the projects.  I'll be back soon with another quick and and easy Halloween project!

June Club Cards

Birthdays.  I don't know about you, but I never seem to have a birthday card when I need it.  In June, the theme was "Birthday" to try and solve this issue.  With my new club group, I am trying a different approach with product.  Instead of using 3 different sets for my main image, I'm trying to show 1 main set and 1 pack of Designer Series Paper for all 3 cards/projects.  So far so good.  Less overwhelming for all.

Stamp set:  Patterned Party, Itty Bitty Banners
Paper:  Baja Breeze, Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse
Ink:  In-Color 2012-2014 Markers
Accessories: BigShot, Finishing Touches Edgelits, Bitty Banners Framelits, Baja Breeze 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Catching Up!

Well, looks like I neglected the blog for months.  Again.  Sorry folks.  Life gets in the way when I least expect it sometimes.  While I was away, I see Blogger has rearranged some things.  Lovely.   I have many posts to catch you all up on what I have been up to lately!
First, I will show a card from my May stamp class.  I started my clubs again in June with the new catalog.  In the spring, I still held monthly classes for those that wanted to attend.  Here is what we did:

All supplies are from Stampin' Up!
Stamps:  The Open Sea, Teeny Tiny Wishes

We did lots of cutting on this card.  It took a bit of time, but the results are well worth it!  This card was a CASE from the mini in which this set first appeared in.

Tip of the Day!

Hi readers!  I have a fun tip to share with you today.  Do you have a bottle of Crystal Effects in your craft room?  This was one of my first purchases many moons ago.  It's a "must have" for any papercrafter.  Well, everytime I go to use it, it is clogged.  I have to go and search for a paper clip or pin and stick it in the nozzle, squeeze, re-poke, etc. this process lasts a few minutes and then I get frustrated and back into the drawer it goes until I need it again and the process is repeated.  This is not going to happen anymore!  I was using quite a bit of it during my Christmas crafts and came up with a great idea: To keep a pin in the nozzle when not in use.  Genius!

Voila!

Now when I want to use it, I just pull off the cap and pull out the pin.

Hope this helps

New Year-Use Your Stash Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to the next stop on the New Year-Use Your Stash Blog Hop!!  If you just came from Heather, your are on the right track and on the second stop on the hop.  If you are just starting here, you can keep on going forward and loop around.

In keeping with the "Use Your Stash" theme, I looked around my craft disaster room and found a lot of half-done projects.  Oops!  Half-done pages, cards, quilts.  .   . Last week I decided I really need to get back into scrapbooking.   Not only for myself, but for my boys.  I spent New Year's weekend at my parents house and was going through scrapbooks that my mom has made.  Oh the memories!  Holidays, summer vacations, birthdays.  They were even more special because my grandpa passed away in August and there were many pictures of the 2 of us in those books.  Scrapbooking is such an important link to our pasts.  Where we came from and where we've been.

I feel like my whole craft area is a stash of unused stuff.  Mostly pretty papers that I am too chicken to use because then I won't have them anymore.  Crazy rationale, but that's what I tell myself.  Tons of scrapbooking stuff for "when I find the time."  I found a half done 12x12 page that looked really sad.  After trying to salvage it, I understand why I pretty much abandoned scrapbooking and went to card making.  Don't laugh, my scrapbooking skills stink!  This is what I ended up with:

All supplies are from Stampin' Up!  Most of the stamp sets used are retired.  I used Bugs & Kisses, Crayon Alphabet, and Unfrogettable.  I cut out the little frogs and found some googly eyes rolling around in a drawer-perfect!  The other little bugs I stamped on whisper white and cut out.  Much like my cards, I don't like a lot of "fluff and foof" on my pages.  I get scared to add too much.  So from my stash I used a half-done page and retired stamps :)    I was hoping to use some of my pretty printed papers, but had nothing with bugs.

So what is in your stash that you need to use?  Have you started anything and stopped half way?  Leave a comment and let me know.

Thanks for stopping by!  Your next stop along the hop will be with Kelly.  She has a giveaway so make sure you visit.
